uroFuraginum, 50 mg.

Compostion

1 tablet contains 50 mg of furaginum. Excipient: each tablet contains 13.75 mg of sucrose.

Pharmaceutical form

Uncoated tablets.

Indications for use

Lower urinary tract infections.

Dosage and application

Adults: First day of treatment: 100 mg (2 tablets) taken 4 times a day. Following days of treatment: 100 mg (2 tablets) taken 3 times a day.

Adults and youth: The medicine should not be taken by children and youth. UroFuraginum should be taken orally along with protein-rich meals which will increase the bioavailability of Nitrofuran derivatives.

The medicine should be taken for 7 to 8 consecutive days. If needed, the treatment may be repeated after 10 to 15 days.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to Nitrofuran derivatives or any of the excipients contained in the medicine, the first trimester of pregnancy, the final stages of pregnancy (starting with the 38th week) and birth, due to the risk of haemolytic anaemia in the newborn, children below 3 months of age, kidney failure with creatinine clearance below 60 ml/min or abnormally high content of creatinine in the serum, diagnosed polyneuropathy, for example resulting from diabetes, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency.
